22.04.24 Year 5 Mayan Artwork

Year 5 have had a very creative start to our new topic; The Ancient Mayans.  We explored colour mixing, added texture to paint and experimented with different ways of applying paint to paper.  We then learnt about the stories the Ancient Maya murals tell and how much we can learn from this civilisation from their paintings.  Finally, we each painted our own Mayan and used these images to create our Year 5 Mayan inspired mural.
