22.02.23 A glimpse of our School - Year 3 Maths

Our Year 3 children have been exploring multiplying by 2 in their maths lessons this week. They have identified generalisations for the 2 times table and have noticed that all the products of the 2 times table always end in a 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 and that these are even numbers. They have also identified that multiplying by 2 is the same as doubling. They came up with the generalisation that doubling means 'the same number again'.
