10.05.23 Year 3 Mandir Trip

Year 3 travelled to the Mandir Hindu Temple in Portslade last week to learn more about Hinduism, which is our RE topic. The children were amazed at how colourful and bright the altar was and how vibrant the Hindu gods were on display. Amazingly, there was a retired priest there who demonstrated how prayer is performed in the temple and the use of music in the temple. The children experienced different Hindu hymns and scriptures and were amazed at how different the Hindu language is. This was a great experience and their knowledge of Hinduism has grown as a result.
