Religious Education

At Mile Oak the principle aim of RE is to engage pupils with an enquiry question which encourages the children to ‘Think Big!’

We stimulate pupils to ask and explore challenging questions about their own identities and beliefs while also gaining an understanding and respect of those who follow the religious beliefs and practices of the World Views. We will continually encourage children to develop an awareness of themselves while learning to respect the values of others in the world around them.

Queries

The school's RE Leader is Mrs Hills

If you have any questions about the school's RE curriculum, contact your child's class teacher or Mrs Hills via the school office.

English legislation states that RE is a necessary part of a ‘broad and balanced curriculum’ and must be provided for all.  At Mile Oak, our multifaith RE curriculum explores a range of religious and non-religious worldviews. Parents have the right to withdraw their children from RE on the grounds that they wish to provide their own RE. This provision will be the parents’ responsibility.
