Mile Oak Primary School Facebook Page

Welcome to Mile Oak Primary School

It is our intention to provide a website that will help parents, carers and visitors understand more about teaching and learning at Mile Oak and our school community.

I am honoured to lead such a fantastic school where we are determined to support both children and staff as well as our local community in fulfilling their individual goals. We are a school committed to celebrating our community and firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school. We regard you as an active partner in your child's education and value your interest and support.

At Mile Oak we believe that a happy child is one who will enjoy learning in a positive, inclusive and fun environment. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that each and every child is valued as an individual and fulfils their potential ready for the next stage in their education.

We recognise the significance of an outstanding holistic education for our pupils and this is what we continually strive for. Our curriculum is rich and inspiring as well as offering a broad range of experiences and opportunities. The core subjects of Maths, English, Science and P.E. are taught alongside PSHE and Computing whilst the foundation subjects are taught through a topic based approach. We have an intensive programme of educational visits and we aim to give every child the opportunity to experience music, art and drama.

Pupil and staff wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We aim to develop the whole child both academically and socially, so that they are able to reach their full potential and in turn be able to make a positive contribution to the society they live in, both now and in the future.

The school strives to provide an outstanding education with unforgettable memories for children within our Mile Oak family. If you would like to see the school then we would welcome the opportunity to show you around and answer any questions that you may have.

Mr Lording
